Computron 3000 enclosure
thingiverse
These parts were designed by Jerry; they form an enclosure for the completed Computron 3000 you can build from a kit I sell. I'm hosting these here on Jerry's behalf, for other builders of the kits to print if they like. The enclosure features a frame that fits over the body, to place a tinted film in front of the LEDs. Jerry's intention is to use a dark film so that the unlit LED bodies do not show, and only the lit LEDs are visible. The body is deep enough for it to stand stably on its own. The back panel features cutouts for a DC power jack and a panel-mount potentiometer, which can be used in place of the PCB-mount one I include in the kit. Using a panel-mount one like this means the PCB can be completely hidden away inside the enclosure, and it will be truly solidly mounted. It also lets you use any knob you like with your pot. Jerry tells me he's also going to put a power switch on his, so he can turn it on and off without unplugging the power lead.
