grabcad
In this study, we present the results of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of a 2D inline rotor-stator mixer using ANSYS software. The mixer features two different geometrical configurations: a wide gap (4 mm) and a standard gap (0.5 mm). Our simulations utilized water as the working fluid, and we analyzed the velocity contour to gain insights into the flow behavior, mixing patterns, and shear rates within the mixer. The CFD simulations employed the Standard k-epsilon turbulence model and were conducted using a sliding mesh technique to accurately model the time-dependent flow behavior. The results, presented as animated velocity contours, provide valuable visual representations of the flow characteristics, enabling better understanding and optimization of rotor-stator mixer designs for industrial applications.
