To solve the issue of my flexable steel cable slipping when too tight, I tried an innovative solution. I used a 12mm nut from an old CB channel changer and wrapped it with 220-grit wet/dry sandpaper secured with super glue. After drilling a 5mm hole in the collar, I installed it on the shaft and tightened the nut for a secure fit. Let's hope it works!
