Use a kitchen scale to measure the spring constant of your compression springs! Works with springs with OD from 1/4" to 3/8". Of course you can try scaling it in the slicer to fit your needs. ## You will need -A kitchen scale -a piece of rope -something to tie your rope to such as C-clamps -superglue to attach the measuring faces to the cylinders -a M3X15(?) screw and nut -calipers ## To use 1. place the base on a kitche scale. 2. Establish tie down points (I used some C-clamps) 3. insert your spring and assemble the jig, tie down one end of the rope and run it through the pulley wheel. 4. zero the scale 5. take dispalcement and weigh reading. Calculate spring rate.
