Compressed air turbine

Compressed air turbine

I built a basic compressed-air turbine for experimentation purposes. I've created two versions of it. The first one is visible in the pictures provided. The axle of this model consists of an 8mm metal rod that I machined down from a 10mm diameter metal rod using a lathe. However, you can use any other type of axle with an 8mm diameter, such as a threaded rod. The bearings used in this turbine are the 608Z type, which have a diameter of 22mm, a hole of 8mm, and a thickness of 7mm. For assembly instructions, please refer to the pictures. This turbine operates smoothly and runs at high speeds, but it does not perform well under pressure. At an air pressure of 8 bar, the grease in the bearings is pushed out, which requires maintenance. It's essential that the housing is assembled very tightly to prevent air leakage.
