Compressed-air engine straight twin V. 2.0

myminifactory

This is a simple yet functional twin-cylinder compressed air engine that can run on any low-pressure setting. Just blowing into the inlet provides plenty of pressure for it to operate. With higher pressures, the engine produces a little power. However, when using higher pressures, the engine must be carefully glued together to prevent it from falling apart. The valves are pneumatically operated, eliminating the need for valve-floats. To ensure smooth operation, the valves should open as the piston approaches its apex, ideally at around 85 degrees. The timing between the pistons is not critical; 180 degrees of rotation between them is optimal, with one piston reaching the top while the other reaches the bottom. Assembly should be straightforward to figure out. If a part doesn't fit, it's likely in the wrong place. Alternatively, referring to the provided pictures can aid in understanding where each piece belongs.
