Compound bow stand
thingiverse
This is a compound bow stand with protective rubber sleeves for solid limbs. In my case, a Diamond Medalist 38 features limbs that are 37mm wide and 8-10mm thick. Print one right leg and one left leg, along with two rubber sleeves. Four versions of the legs are available: * "Diamond" features the Diamond Archery logo holes in each leg. * "Generic" has rounded triangle-shaped holes instead. * "Solid" has no holes in either leg at all. * "Solid ExternalSpring" is a quick version for adding an external spring, though it may appear somewhat ugly. This stand uses specific hardware: 2x M3x10 screws hold the internal spring in place. 1x M4x10 screw connects both legs together. 1x M4 nut provides additional support. 1x ~44mm long (including end loops) and ~4.5mm diameter spring is used for stability. If you plan to use a spring or rubber bands on the outside, the M3 screws may need to be slightly longer to accommodate this setup. Installing the internal spring can be a bit tricky due to its difficulty in stretching into place through the internal channels. To resolve this issue, I attached looped fishing line around several coils of the spring and then pushed the other end of the line through the channel and out the end of the M3 screw hole. Next, using the fishing line, I carefully pulled the spring through the channel until it lined up with the M3 screw hole.
