This is YACTB (Yet Another Component Tester Box). I was inspired by wavexx who posted one recently. My tester is unique compared to others on TV, so I had to design my own. I adopted some of the philosophy of wavexx because it resonated with me. My innovation was making the battery accessible without removing the board. The battery is held in place using a neodymium magnet. A rectangular pocket fits my magnet perfectly. Initially, I planned to use two magnets, but one turned out to be enough. I'm a big fan of these little testers. They're small, fast, reasonably accurate, and affordable! While they may not match the quality of my Fluke, it's understandable given its larger size and lack of a ZIF socket.
