Human: This knot was crafted in Moment of Inspiration (MoI) from a script penned by user bemfarmer, drawing inspiration from Aaron Trautwein's work.\nIT SERVES NO PRACTICAL PURPOSE - yet it presents an aesthetically pleasing design, with the intricate shape posing a formidable challenge for subtractive manufacturing techniques.\nKeep in mind that this model requires support and likely a raft to print successfully.\nI found it relatively effortless to print using PETG on my Prusa Original i3 Mk2 with Simplify 3D as the slicer.\nPETG has become my go-to material, boasting excellent appearance, strong adhesion to the build plate, and easy removal of supports.\nI printed the knot in both a seated and standing position. The accompanying photos showcase these variations. Notably, the standing variant required significantly less time and material than its seated counterpart.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: Prusa Original i3 Mk2\nRafts: Yes\nSupports: Yes\nResolution: 0.2\nInfill: 10%\nNotes: For Simplify 3D users - I disabled 'Raft base layers'\nPost-Printing\nAfter removing the raft and support material, I applied a light touch with a file to smooth out any rough edges.\nHow It Was Designed\nThis knot was crafted in Moment of Inspiration (MoI) from a script penned by user bemfarmer, drawing inspiration from Aaron Trautwein's work.\nMy role was limited to experimenting with the available options and then sweeping a circle over the curve provided by Brian's script.
