Looking for complete STL files of Printrbot Simple 1405 wood pieces? Here is everything! Printrbot shared the lasercut DXF drawing file, but we desperately needed STLs to print any of those parts. No converter can transform non-water-tight drawings into printable STL, so we drew each piece from scratch using tracing programs and learning on the job was no easy feat. CorelDraw came in handy; after hours of practicing, I finally felt confident enough to create every single wood part. Finally complete! You can find the original DXF at https://www.youmagine.com/designs/printrbot-simple-maker-edition-1405 These STL files are specifically designed for printing with tabs slightly smaller than their corresponding holes, a tight fit requiring first layer squish that may have to be filed off to assemble. Screw and nuts were also included to use the original 3mm hardware. There's no problem with fitting parts printed at 2 perimeters with a 0.4mm nozzle and .25 mm layer height (30% infill) as you print, but you might need some modifications if using three perimeters or thick layers. Parts are created in perfect size of 5.6mm, they can be seamlessly paired with the original Printrbot's six millimeter wood stock without having to perform any extra sanding operation. Keep in mind it is still work-in-progress and not error-free design so kindly help point out those so that I can improve them accordingly. It has been successfully tested on largest piece which has an approximate bed requirement of 260mm x 103 mm, you might have to make some edits based upon your printing preferences.
