Complete Fossil Bivalve

I'm absolutely thrilled to have stumbled upon this incredible fossil bivalve on the Lincolnshire coast, and I must say it's one of the most perfect specimens I've ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on! I found it in a pile of discarded shells dumped carelessly in a hedge at my school, where I spent countless hours as a kid growing up in the picturesque fens of Lincolnshire. It's no surprise that this remarkable fossil was likely collected during a school trip to Skegness, affectionately known as "Skeg Vegas" among locals! To capture its intricate details, I employed the advanced PalaeoPI TablePi automated photogrammetry turntable, which took 240 high-resolution images in a mere 8 minutes using three Nikon D5300s. The resulting images were then meticulously processed using Agisoft Metashape, yielding an exceptional level of precision and clarity that truly does justice to this incredible fossil find!
