This expansion set is designed to complement my open-source Infinite Castle Design. The castle is constructed from 3D printed pieces and laser-cut/engraved foam and wood parts. This expansion features a variety of 3D printed "clips" that allow for the creation of buildings with windows and doors in various sizes. The clips can also be used to design dungeons, adding versatility to your 3D print/laser cut mash-up project. A 28mm fort/castle is the result, featuring 3D printed components alongside laser-cut ones. Print Settings: Printer: Power Spec & Makerfarm Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .3 Infill: .15 Notes: Any single-extruder printer will do, with very few parts requiring supports. Post-Printing Laser cutting and video creation are also possible. Laser cutting options include using any desired texture for the cutouts. Floors can be laser-cut in one pass using 1/8th inch Baltic birch plywood. Shingles can be cut from 2mm Depron foam, with window and door slots in foam being hand-cut but easily integratable into your design. BMP images can be raster-engraved twice: once with a half-tone dither and once without, using a b/w threshold of around 90. Walls can be laser-engraved with XLPE and EVA foam, using a 40W laser at 100% speed and 75% power, no dither, @250 DPI. Low-quality YouTube preview available.
