Compilatron from Factorio With a 2 material printer, and 4 pauses for filament changes you too can have a 7 color compilatron. I did have to print his face as a separate 2color and its not a perfect fit, a bit of shaving is required as i was in a hurry to get this guy printed for a buddy. IRL photo is at 100% scale 12cm tall, about 2days including the pauses. 0.4w 0.2h 3shells and a stepping infill up to 30%. with supports from build-plate only(no treeing and not on top of anything), I also forced no supports anywhere above the underside of the top tread, as all those protrusions are angled for easier printing. my support tune is actually pretty good so i did use an interface. and to get all the detail of the treads on the bottom i also lifted the model off the build-plate. Color/Layer understanding My color layout and layers to pause at. Start- Grey/Silver w Gold 1 After Metallic Base - White w Yellow 2 After Warning Sign but before Logo(picky) - White w Orange/Copper 3 After Logo but before first wire - white w red(or green,but red shows better on antenna) 4 Between Wires - White w Green Be VERY careful about selecting the correct layer to pause on, as a couple of spots do not have any tolerance in either direction. prepare the gcode, and then view it and write down which layers require pauses, then add the pausing scripts.
