Parts for attaching small compasses to 3/4 in or 1 in webbing are available. These parts can be used with webbing measuring either 20mm or 25mm in diameter. The slot versions of these parts feature a cutout for attachment to sewn-in straps. The following compasses are compatible with these parts: Hw01 High-Quality 20mm Portable Compass, White/Black (10-Piece) available at dx.com. A moderate amount of force is required to insert the compass into the opening. To facilitate this process, a bar clamp can be employed for added leverage.
