Compass Ring Designed for Metal Casting and Metal 3D Printing Design Ring Size: US 8 Ring Volume: 0.82 cm3 Dimension mm: X27, Y21.24, Z23.24 The ring is modeled with a US size 8 (Diameter = 18.14mm approx.), ensuring that scaling up will not affect wall thickness for most metal 3D printing processes. To scale up the ring to fit your finger size, use Meshmixer, a free software from Autodesk. Import the ring and navigate to Analysis/Measure in the left menu. Select Type: from edge to edge, Direction: outward (n), Snapping mode: Snap to Vertices from the sub-menu. Click on the inner diameter of the ring to get a red line and reading on the right side. To scale up, go to Edit menu/Transform and increase any size value while checking Uniform Scaling. Repeat the measuring process until you achieve your correct finger size. Once done, export the model as STL Binary Format, which is recommended. If you need a custom ring or jewelry item, please contact me. For a similar polish/finish like the rendered ring image with dark cavity, print the ring using vintage or antique silver.
