This project serves as an innovative exercise in mastering multi-part model construction using snap-together techniques. I aimed to create a game-accurate Companion Cube replica, where each component exhibits vibrant colors without the need for painting. Moreover, this design ensures that the assembled piece features uniform finishing on all sides, regardless of printing direction. Achieving these goals presented significant design challenges due to the intricate structure and high number of individual components involved in assembling the final product. To accomplish this, I divided the cube into parts based on their respective colors: white, grey, and pink, along with various shapes (5 different) comprising 40 distinct pieces in total. Each component was carefully designed for maximum efficiency in assembly and overall durability, ensuring that glue is not required. Nevertheless, users are still free to utilize adhesive if they prefer. An alternative method includes printing individual parts using white or transparent material before painting the components manually when needed.
