Compact Whistle Bottle Opener
thingiverse
I Combined the Hoeken Co-op Bottle Opener http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1813 with the Crkoolkid Better Whistle http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:403012. My Goal Was to Create a Compact Device without Compromising its Functionality as a Bottle Opener and a Whistle. I Added a Hole for a Key Chain. The Whistle Can be Extremely Painful, But Drinking an Ice-Cold Beer Really Helps Mask the Discomfort. Edit: I've Also Included a Less Compact, More Ergonomic Version. Print Settings Printer: M3D Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 200-300 Infill: 100 Notes: I Found that 100% Infill and at Least 2 Shells Work Really Well. No Support is Needed, as it Would Interfere with the Whistle Part. Printing External Support (Using Cura) for the Overhang Below the Key Chain Hole Wasn't Necessary, but It Did Help Prevent Stringing Between the Ball and the Internal Wall of the Whistle. This Way, the Ball Will Be More Mobile. Post-Printing Just Pry Loose the Ball with a Screwdriver or Something Similar, Insert a Penny, and You're Good to Go! Design Process I Used Autodesk Inventor 2016 and Netfabb Private for This Project.
