Compact Skip Bo Game Case
thingiverse
I combined innovative ideas from multiple models and infused my own creativity to craft a more compact case for my Skip Bo game, elevating its functionality and convenience. Building upon the sleek Uno Card Case by Ptitem, I adapted the slanted base and open side concept to accommodate the larger deck's needs. To enhance gameplay, I added an opening on the opposite side of the fully open area, allowing for effortless card drawing. The case is designed to lock into place at the top, ensuring seamless movement. Inspired by the Skip Bo Card Holster by VooDooMoN, I incorporated four "arms" to maintain organized stacks during gameplay. However, I modified their size to suit smaller tables, where I typically play. Strategically placed cutouts on the sides enable easy card stack retrieval. To achieve a more compact design, I adapted the base to have the arms hook onto two sides instead of four, optimizing its functionality for my preferred playing area. The top section was designed to securely hold the four arms in place without compromising stability when removed from the base. This clever mechanism allows for effortless movement and prevents accidental arm dislodgement. The arms fit snugly within the top's recesses but remain easily removable and replaceable, even when inverted. The rectangular shape offers enhanced storage convenience. To ensure optimal printing results, it is essential to rotate the top 180 degrees from its default orientation. Supporting structures are only required for the top section to maintain the ledges holding the arms in place.
