Compact Refrigerator Thermostat Mount

I have a Kenmore 183.94679 (equivalent to 183.94673); the thermostat died and it wouldn't shut off the compressor - even when set to off, everything froze up. Sears is very good at selling replacement parts, but the thermostat (Parts #: RF-7350-124) is no longer available for purchase. Someone else had encountered this problem and contacted Haier to discover that the RF-7350-101 would work instead. However, when I received it, it wouldn't fit onto the fridge and didn't come with any mounting hardware. This little mount fixes the problem. First, there's a small pin on the thermostat that needs to be bent flat (be careful, this isn't the on/off switch - that also sticks out; the pin is part of the chassis). I printed the mount in PLA, 100% infill. Then I used an M10 1.25 tap to thread the center hole (not strictly necessary, but minimizes potential cracking); then put the existing metal plate over the thermostat and screwed on the mount. I used the existing mount screws plus two #8-32 nuts to secure the mount to the metal plate (not strictly necessary, but minimizes slippage). Next, install as normal. I don't normally have to adjust the thermostat setting, so I'm not entirely sure how long this would last if you had to turn it a lot, but so far it's done the trick. I've included an Inventor file if you need to modify for a different model thermostat. Print Settings: Printer: QB-BD Two Up Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: Printed in PLA with CuraEngine; no supports required.
