compact mylar mirror
grabcad
this design is the lowest cost, the most compact, and the most flexible. can be attached to an arm on a rover, or stacked in a rover and then dropped on a moon surface, like a blooming field of mirrors. the inspiration is taken from a "Measuring tape", if we get a thicker and wider measuring tape, it can be used as an extendable arm. we can extend the "Measuring tape" more to stretch the Mylar AND to flex the "Measuring tape" ""this is hard to explain in word"" , so it doesn't fold on to itself. the Mylar can be pulled in the middle to make it "concave" the Mylar can be folded like an origami deployable hex-flasher to extend all "arms" at once, or any other ways of folding since each "arm" has it own stepper motor, for full "arms" control. mirror area = 6.62m² if the arms=1.5m. mirror area = 10.39m² if arms = 1.85m The rover need to have tracks instead of wheel to be multi purpose (towing, bulldozing, and using the tracks as compactors)the design is sh!t cause ran out of time & skill
