Compact Music Studio Furniture #2
grabcad
Compact music studio furniture with a modern twist on example number one. This version comes as a downloadable file containing only the furniture components. Designed with the laptop PC in mind, this setup foregoes an acoustic enclosure, alongside its essential air intake and exhaust plenums. A rear cable chase remains, although there's no rear cover to account for – ideally, the unit would be situated against a wall to keep things neat and organized. Should the rear of the cabinet become exposed during use, simply add a rear cover that incorporates ventilation through a top-mounted port in the rack case. Notable changes include lowering the overall profile of the worksurface to comfortably accommodate a laptop, as well as downsizing the rack case from 16 spaces down to a more compact 14-sp unit. Huge gratitude is extended to the creative folks at GrabCAD for donating essential items like a laptop, Akai MPK Mini MIDI controller, and even some nice additions – a wastebasket and decorative plants that have undergone personal modifications for a customized look.
