Compact MendelMax Y-Rod Holders
cults3d
MendelMax and Aluminum Extrusions are fantastic to work with. This Y-rod holder was inspired by the ziptie-less LM8UU holders created by Jonas Kuehling, while also being compatible with MendelMax. MendelMax v1 had Y-rod holders that spanned two extrusions. However, v1.5 introduced a lasercut piece to attach to the center of one extrusion. I appreciate this design, but I wanted more flexibility in the length of y-rods that could be used (allowing me to reuse some from previous bots) and also a 3D printable version because I can't utilize wood in my designs due to bioengineering requirements. Designed using Blender since my OpenSCAD skills are not well-developed. The .blend file is attached.
