Compact, internal i3v servo mount
thingiverse
The original rear-mounted fan duct was limiting the vertical space behind the hotend, forcing me to make difficult choices when mounting my "typical" servo motor. The servo mount had to either block the extruder mounting bolt or push it forward with an excessively long probe arm. However, thanks to clouhg42's innovative Hexagon fan shroud, I've gained a significant amount of internal space. This newfound space has allowed me to creatively place my servo body internally and low, with a much shorter probe arm sticking out to the side. Best of all, this setup keeps the extruder screw completely accessible. The only minor drawback is that the Y offset has increased by approximately 45mm. But I've also taken advantage of the servo flange's recessed design, which not only allows me to mount it in place using the M3 side screw but also gives it a secure hold.
