I made a calculation error on another project I'm working on, so I'm no longer pursuing work on this gear reducer. Despite the mistake, I'm still posting my completed work as is, including SolidWorks files, step files, and STLs. The gears should function properly without any adjustments needed. I've also included all the documentation from an old book that explains how it works and provides instructions for achieving a 1:10,000 gear ratio. A link to an animation of the gear reducer in action is provided below. Note that the planets are actually driven components, with one sun fixed in place while the other serves as the output shaft. Originally designed to work with a ceiling fan motor, this gear reducer may still be useful for other applications.
