Compact Headphone Hook for Computer Monitor
thingiverse
This is a compact, low-profile headphone or headset hook that mounts on the top of a computer monitor. It uses minimal filament, prints quickly and is quite sturdy. The depth of the arm is 15mm, which matches the depth of the top of a Dell Monitor. However, the depth can easily be adjusted with 3D design software to match a desired depth. UPDATE: after seeing how sturdy the regular hook is with the longer 3M Command Strips, I made a shorter arm version that works with the smaller 3M Command Strips. I have included this design. This is a remix from wwhaley's design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1475589 . However, there are quite a few differences: - Printing with a 3mm brim, at 100% infill, this design uses ~8 grams of filament, compared to wwhaley's 31 grams. - This design is much smaller in all dimensions, but it is easily sturdy enough to hold the heaviest headphones. - The hook is shorter (~22mm opening) and rounded to fit the thin band of a Logitech H390 USB headset. - This design is made to fit the 3M Command Strip adhesive strip, width wise, but you will need to trim off ~ 3-4 mm to match the 15mm arm depth. One can also use double-sided adhesive tape. I did print with a 3mm brim to ensure that the hook stayed adhered to the build plate. After printing, I sanded/softened any sharp corners and edges to protect the headset band and my fingers that might come in contact with them.
