Compact Folding Laptop/Tablet/Book Stand

Compact Folding Laptop/Tablet/Book Stand

This is a compact laptop (14" or smaller), large tablet, or book holder. I prefer using my laptops with external keyboards and standing them almost vertically for maximum comfort. The screen is closer to eye level this way. Sometimes, I lean the laptop against the cubicle wall or place it on a stand, books, or a box. I need a better solution. I have another laptop stand that works well at home or in the office, but it's inconvenient to carry anywhere farther than another room. So, I created this one. It turned out to be seasonal and looks like bird bones during Halloween. There are two options: a) To make it smaller when folded, you can print two Part 1's and one Spine file. The sides tend to move inward under load, so a spine ridge is needed to hold the legs apart. The default spine limits the angle to 80 degrees (some less than 90 degrees anyway). A wider spine makes it around 90 degrees or a bit wider - I prefer this one. b) Alternatively, you can print Part 1 and Part 2 - it will be letter size when unfolded. Update 20190425: Added pictures of the stand in real-life use.
