The first edition of Prusa's nozzle utilized an asymmetrical aluminum mount as a cooling plate. The more recent iteration employs a symmetrical one, necessitating a modification to the compact extruder component. Here is my version. You may obtain the remaining components from https://github.com/josefprusa/Prusa3-vanilla/tree/master/distribution I have upgraded this part to incorporate the new x-carriage with 30mm of distance between support holes. The original extruder cannot accommodate thicker MK7-like drive gears. I have altered the channel for the drive gear, enabling the use of MK7 drive gear (untested). A new version has been added, featuring holes for a 40mm fan and a duct. Another updated version was recently introduced with bearing capture to prevent it from jumping outside its designated area. Instructions: Two M3x12 mm screws and two nuts are required to secure the nozzle plate to the block. In addition, you will need two 625 bearings and one 608. The main shaft is an M5x66 mm threaded rod where a drive gear is attached. To secure the idler in place, use two M3x30mm screws and nuts (a 20mm M8 rod is required for the 608). The large gear demands an M5 lock-nut; I used a regular nut with superglue for it to work. The small gear necessitates filing a flat on the motor shaft; no fixing screw is needed. To fix a fan, you need the fan version and tap the two holes with M3x25; use two M3x20mm screws then.
