Compact Effector with shroud and autoleveling
thingiverse
I have uploaded a more up-to-date version of my design that accommodates both smaller and larger style bearings found on the end of push rods. This update helps resolve clearance issues some users experience with fans. I've removed auto-leveling functionality using the shroud itself, opting instead for attachment points for auto-leveling sensors. Check out the updated shroud here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2393218/#files Update: I have improved version V2 available now; see link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1935700. For clarity: V1 - Original design with filament fan location on side, requires narrow fan 6mm V2 - Filament fan relocated to top with optional attachments for fan mounting V3 - E3DV6 Version with same options as V2 Update 16/11/2016: Added another 30mm Filament fan attachment that offers better directional flow for the fan. Update: I have added a version for shorter E3Dv6. Let me know how it works out, and it will also feature an updated autolevel arm. Update: Version 2 relocates filament fan to top position and gives you a choice of 30 or 40mm fan shroud for it. Note that I haven't printed it out yet or tested it; will update again when I have a full working print assembled. Update: Fan for heatsink cooling at 10mm thick should be no issues, but any thicker will cause clearance issues. There are clearance issues on filament cooling fan at 10mm and higher. I am working on a modified version that relocates where this fan mounts. My latest effector design with shroud is a spinoff of one of my recent effectors, but with a twist. It incorporates auto-leveling via endstop switch. The design is as compact as possible while still giving maximum XY print area and an increase in Z height print area compared to standard delta style effector. Check out my hands-on video of the effector on YouTube below: https://youtu.be/9htx9YMsZzs Find me on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/LMG3D/ Print Settings: Printer: Kossel Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 45% Notes: The main body will need to be printed upside down, and the other two components should not require any support.
