## Features **This mount and cooling solution combines two great sets of work to provide a unique set of features that I could not find for the Tronxy x5s:** * **Compact and Solid**: [A secure e3d v6 mount for the tronxy x5s printer](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2769783) provides compact, reliable performance. * **Quiet**: Due to support for 40mm fans, this solution ensures quiet operation. * **Consistent**: Tight integration of sensitive 18mm inductive sensors enables consistent results. * **Quality**: Good print quality is achieved through proven multi-directional layer cooling, provided by [prusa mk3 style 5015 blower cooler](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2769783). ### Status This solution is ready for use as is. I may make additional modifications in the future, but there's no reason you can't use it now. ### Remix Info Check out [thed0ct0r's amazing v6 clamp work](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2769783) for background and testing he did, which was used as a basis for this solution. He also provided his .step files, which I will make available once I've fixed some small issues. Also, check out [robscar's simple e3d v6 clamp for the x5s](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2815425), which helped me develop a tight integration of the 18mm sensor. ### Things I Did to Integrate All This: * Created a compact 40mm to 30mm fan adapter. * Modified the v6 clamp to support connecting the fan adapter, using the same four tiny screws provided with the original v6 fan clamp. * Modified the simple e3d v6 clamp mount for the smaller sensor to position the 18mm sensor tightly while providing room for the 40mm fan and nuts and washers for the sensor. * Made a small modification to the prusa layer cooler to prevent it from breaking off when installing or removing the clip-on blower fan. ### Things I Tried or Considered but Decided Against: * Adding a modular mount for the sensor that attaches to the v6 fan clamp. This worked okay, but was never as secure as I'd like. * Attaching the sensor mount to the frame where the blower is attached. This would have further limited modifications to the x5s v6 clamp, but I worried about the clip-style connection not being secure enough. * Using a scad library to generate the 40mm to 30mm fan adapter. This would have made the fan stick out too much and required modifying the clamp.
