All credit goes to tech2c. I made this change because I was slightly under-extruding. Different filaments yielded different results when calibrating my E steps. So, I noticed that the gap between the MK7 drive gear and the mount was quite large. Upon further research, it seemed that this gap should actually be smaller. Additionally, this adjustment would also benefit prints made with flexible materials. To address this issue, I decided to extend the mount closer to the drive gear. As a result, my extrusion is now perfect. I suspect that the filament had bent in previous attempts. **Please note that this was my specific situation and may not apply to others. I'm sharing this information for anyone who might find it useful. You can experiment with larger layer heights and less infill if desired. Post-Printing: Use a razor or file to ensure the filament path is smooth and unobstructed.
