This is an upgraded version of my "Compact Bowden Extruder, direct drive 1.75mm, with bearing block." This one is stronger and suitable for auto-loading filament. Here's what you need: 1 x 625ZZ bearing 1 x 608ZZ bearing 2 x M3x10 mm screws 2 x M3x8 mm screws 1 x M3X16 mm screw (top of the idler) 1 x M5x15 mm screw (608ZZ bearing) 2 x M3x30 mm screws 3 x M3 nuts 2 small springs (the same as bed leveling springs) 1 Hobbed pulley (like the one at http://www.reprap-france.com/produit/1234568310-roue-dentrainement-a-gorge) (Length 13mm - Outer diameter: 8 mm - Hobbing diameter: 6 mm - Bore 5 mm) Or 1 standard MK8 Hobbed pulley (Lenght 11mm - Outer diameter: 9 mm - Hobbing diameter: 7.1mm - Bore 5mm) Choose the extruder marked as "MK8" Updates: 17-02-2015: Corrected the reference for the 608ZZ bearing 26-02-2015: A useful thing to improve bowden fitting can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:699415 and reducing backlash 01-03-2015: Corrected 3 x M3 bolts in 3 x M3 nuts. 02-03-2015: Added the Extruder_to_threaded_rod_support.stl file 24-03-2015: Added a modified version of the extruder for standard MK8 Hobbed pulleys (Lenght 11mm - Outer diameter: 9 mm - Hobbing diameter: 7.1mm - Bore 5mm) 27-03-2015: Corrected 1 x M5x10 mm screw to 1 x M5x15 mm screw for the 608ZZ bearing 19-05-2015: As requested, added a MK8 version with pushfit input (Compact bowden extruder MK8 - 2 pushfit.stl) 17-01-2016: Added a MK8 version without built-in support (Compact bowden extruder MK8 - 2 pushfit - no built-in support.stl) 14-02-2016: Added a MK8 version with M6 thread, built-in support and pushfit input. 19-02-2016: As requested, added longer idlers. 21-03-2016: As requested, added C_B_E MK8_M6 with pushfit built-in support. 25-06-2016: Added a MK8 version without brackets but with built-in support. Thank you for making your prints available. Instructions: Print the extruder at 0.2 mm layer height or less. Disable support in Slic3r as supports are already included in the stl file Print each part of the idler separately and enable support in Silc3r, remember to flip the idler part before printing. Use a 2mm drill for the filament guide to make it smooth and achieve optimum operation.
