Compact Bowden extruder, direct drive, bearing bloc, auto load 1.75mm filament
thingiverse
This is a remix of my "Compact Bowden Extruder, Direct Drive, Bearing Bloc, Auto Load 1.75mm Filament" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:669459 I have added a back window so you can check the cleanliness of the hobbed bolt (MK8 or other). This is suitable for TEVO Tornado extruder plate and similar. You need: - 1 Push Fit PC4-M5 (I'm thinking about changing it to bigger Push Fit PC4-M6 or PC4-M10, but that would require drastic changes in the design. Let me know if you're interested.) - 1 x 625ZZ bearing - 1 x 608ZZ bearing - 3 x M3 nut - 3 x M3x30 mm screws - 1 x M3X16 mm screw (for the idler) - 1 x M5x15 or 20 mm screw (for the 608ZZ bearing) - 2 x M3x35 mm screw - 2 small springs (the same as usual bed leveling, but not those of the Tornado which are too big) Once printed: - Remove supports - Carefully calibrate the filament hole with a 2mm drill. - Tap the M5 of the idler. The way to build the extruder is pretty much the same as the original one (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:669459), except you will have to screw it directly in place (see photos). - Be careful when screwing - Make sure the MK8 small screw doesn't rub on the extruder. ---------------------------------------------- Update 27/04/2020: Added a redesigned M6 pushfit version. This can be easily updated to a M10 pushfit version.
