Compact Animatronic Eyes
thingiverse
Simplified Cabuu's eyes to make them even more compact and efficient. The addition of a slot on the bar allows the servo to move smoothly and freely. Although I didn't have a servo on hand to test with, I made some changes based on images I've seen. Once I get my hands on an sg90, I'll update this design accordingly. To assemble the eyes, start by printing two eyes and two brackets. Next, print one bar that will serve as the base for the servo. Place the servo inside the brackets and attach the eyes to the bar using 1/4" x #2 or 2mm x 6mm flathead machine screws. For all other parts, use 2mm x 12mm machine screws. Since I don't have metric flatheads that small, I had to settle for #2s. When attaching the servo horn to the Eye Bar, I found that a 1.6mm machine screw can self-tap into the holes of the servo horn and drive it through the horn and into the slot on the Eye Bar.
