Compact 18650 COB LED work light.

This is a WIP simple work light, it takes a single 18650 battery. There are only two modes (on and off), the light draws ~1W so it will last 8-12 hours depending on battery. There is enough room in the base for a 7135 current regulator ic, however I was impatient in building mine and used 4x 10ohm resistors in parallel instead.

Keep in mind this is a WIP and will require significant modification (with the soldering iron) after printing to get it together. There was barely enough room for the positive (red) wire so that had to go outside the case. I used thin resistor leads to connect up the leds, the entire area was potted with epoxy since these connections would otherwise be exposed. The battery contacts/spring were ripped form a dirt cheap 18650 holder I had lying around. Also, the threads needed to be worn in before use. They were too tight at first.

LEDs: https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m4084.l1313&_nkw=60x8mm+led+1w

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

TEVO

Printer:

Tarantula

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.4mm x 0.2mm

Category: Electronics
