Community Face Mask Frame
thingiverse
Simple DIY mask with flexible filter media options features three sizes available; small, medium, and large. To secure to head, use string, elastic cord, rubber bands, or other options, with anchors around the frame providing a convenient place to wrap string for a snug fit. The mask frame conforms under tension, or can be heated and formed to the face for a comfortable fit. The ultimate goal is to create a low-cost, fast-printing, simple mask that can be used and discarded. "Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler," advises Einstein. This design prints quickly at 14 minutes for large sizes. Two large masks, three medium-sized masks, or three small masks can fit on a standard 200mm x 200mm build plate, making it ideal for fast production runs. Both PLA and PETG are acceptable materials to print with, allowing users to choose the best option for their needs. Note that this mask is not as effective as a N95 HEPA or MERV 16 filter, but it is still better than nothing. For more information on creating effective DIY masks, check out the link below.
