Common Shelf Bracket

Common Shelf Bracket

thingiverse

This is for a shelf bracket made from repurposed wood - pallets work great but any old wood will do. Two by fours are ripped to one by two boards for all the parts of this project. These brackets can be used to make shelves of varying lengths that hang on the wall. For the shelf boards, you can use reclaimed pallet planks or buy decent boards from a local lumber yard and still save a pretty penny. During assembly, predrill all holes before adding screws. If you want a super smooth finish even over the screws, be sure to countersink them so you can cover them with wood filler before painting. On the brackets themselves, I'd also recommend using wood glue on all joints for added strength.
