It thrives in environments such as moorland, wet meadows, and alluvial forests, specifically on moist, peaty soil. This plant can endure cold, cool, and temperate climates and is resistant to frost. It can also survive underwater for extended periods. Its common name is derived from its grayish catkins and leaves. The bark of willow species has been used as a drug since ancient times, notably by Dioskurides, and was recommended against fever in 16th and 17th-century medical books. Three models are available: Model 1 (0.5 meters), Model 2 (1.5 meters), and Model 3 (2 meters).
