The CT scan of a common crag lizard (Pseudocordylus melanotus, MCZ H 184420) from the Museum of Comparative Zoology reveals its fluid-preserved skeleton. Beneath the skin, bony plates (osteoderms) are visible in teal. This 3D model was created using Volumegraphics VGStudioMax 3.3 software from a scan produced by a Phoenix V|Tome|X S. The model supports a learning activity designed during the UF Center for Precollegiate Education and Training workshop “3D Vertebrates: From Museum Shelves to Classrooms.” Funding for this specimen's modeling was provided by the oVert project at the University of Florida (NSF DBI 1701714, https://tinyurl.com/oVertwiki).
