Common Cold Virus

Common Cold Virus

thingiverse

The human rhinovirus' crystal structure is accessible at pdb.org. It was visualized using Pymol and MGL tools, with a course surface overlaying the atoms. The aim is to create multiple copies for teaching virus classes. To "catch a cold," toss one to someone! However, it's unprintable on makerbot due to its size; Replicator G 19 can slice it into two halves. Need assistance in dividing this model? Blender leaves me stumped. I have more viral structures and proteins to print, but many require slicing. Help with these would be appreciated for creating printable items.
