This case was crafted to cradle the Commodore SD2IEC SD card adapter, a product sold online by NKC Electronics. This enclosure enables you to securely mount both the mainboard and daughter boards, keeping them shielded and looking sleek! The SD2IEC is a robust hardware mass storage device that utilizes an SD/MMC card and interfaces with the IEC bus via its ATmega644 microcontroller from Atmel's AVR family. The primary application of SD2IEC involves emulating or replacing a Commodore-1541 disk drive for a C64. Both the hardware and the microcontroller's sd2iec firmware are freely available as open source.
