Commodore C64 Breadbin Broken Rear Case Clip Replacement

Recently purchased a C64 on eBay, only to discover that the clips securing the rear of the case have snapped off. To solve this issue, I designed a small clip replacement, which seamlessly integrates between the sides of the original clip built into the case. The 1983 Original breadbin model C64 is a prized possession, and this custom clip ensures it remains securely fastened. Printing the clip in grey provides an authentic look that perfectly complements the vintage console. To install the clip, place it with the textured end facing inward, then mark the position where the case ends using a pen. This mark should be situated on top of the indent, but not directly over the inner lining. I used super glue to carefully secure the clip in place. Considering potential improvements, I wonder if following the contours of the original clip might enhance the design. Unfortunately, all my clips are broken, making it difficult to compare the new design with its predecessors. The updated design now includes features that allow for increased flexibility, providing a more reliable and secure hold on the C64 case.
