EDIT 18.02.2020: Updated with improved bottom pieces and a more responsive D-pad. The switches for the D-pad are closer together, providing increased leverage when using the pad. Angled edges on each direction reduce the likelihood of accidentally clicking diagonally. I designed a gamepad for the Amiga, modeled after the SNES controller but with a more comfortable layout. The typical Amiga joystick clicky action has been retained. A regular SNES-like bottom (Gamepad03.stl) is also available for those who prefer it. To soften the feel of the buttons, apply pieces of double-sided tape to their underside, leaving the protective film in place. Use 6x6x7mm tactile switches: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Momentary-Tactile-Push-Button-Switch-6-6-4-3-15mm-Mini-Micro-Small-PCB-Mounted/263259205523 Wire the switches according to the pinout in Amiga22.jpg. I used lengths of wire and glued them into the bottom half of the gamepad with a drop of superglue under each switch. The sliding switch allows you to convert the rightmost button into an "up" function, eliminating the need for D-pad use when jumping. You can configure it to toggle between button 2 and up or any other combination you prefer. This switch is designed as a drop-in fit but can be adapted with tape or hot glue to accommodate various switches: https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Pcs-DC-50V-0-5A-2-Position-DPDT-2P2T-PCB-Mount-Vertical-Slide-Switch-6-Pin-DIP/323744692280 To achieve the perfect balance, use a M3x8 mm pan head screw in the center under the D-pad, as shown in one image. This screw acts as a pivot and can be adjusted to your desired feel by adjusting its height. I prefer mine set so that all four directions cannot be pushed simultaneously.
