Commodore 64 Power Supply Case

Commodore 64 Power Supply Case

A custom PSU case inspired by the Commodore 64's design, created by placidcasual. I relocated the mounting holes to match my original Commodore 64 power supply, positioning them at the ends of the case for better compatibility. The slots are carefully sized to accommodate both the original AC power cord and the power cord that connects directly to the Commodore 64, ensuring seamless integration. To add extra stability, I drilled additional holes so the bottom panel can be securely screwed onto the case. Given my choice of using two wall warts (5VDC and 9VAC) for power, which remain remarkably cool, I decided against adding ventilation slots at this time. However, it's easy to add them if needed in the future. Before printing the case, I need to order black PLA filament. The original Commodore 64 power supplies are notorious for failing with age and producing excessive voltage (over 5VDC), which can harm the console. A safe alternative is showcased in this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/UCdXV0X6wEY. I hope you find this remix helpful in your own DIY projects.
