Commodore 1541 Replacement Faceplate
thingiverse
I acquired a pretty messed up 1541 drive which I expected just to use for parts. The faceplate was completely smashed. Both ears cracked off. Just for laughs I tested the drive and it still works! So now I gotta restore it... ;-) Anyway, here is a replacement face plate for the 1541 drive. It fits and functions perfectly. Good luck trying to find perfectly color matching filament! I could never find a brown dark enough. Black looks pretty good though! Prints without supports. In order to do this the "finger cavity" and LED holder will have to be glued onto the faceplate. Be very careful not to get any glue above the "middle strut" on the side of the "finger cavity" as the door mechanism needs that area clear to operate properly!
