This is a fun and useful gadget for increasing the space under a Commodore 1541 disk drive. !!!!ADDED HINT- these riser feet will also fit a C64 breadbin keyboard or a VIC 20 breadbin keyboard making a fully reversible switchable kernal mod to your Commodore system. The impetus for this design came about for a need to replace a failed disk drive kernal ROM. Sukkoperra at https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/Open2327RomAdapter_V2.html Has a great ROM replacement adapter for replacing old style 27c64 ROM with modern day 27cxx equivalents. I wanted to keep the case as original as I could without any further alterations other than the existing patina. By raising the drive by about 10mm I was able to mount a dip switch easily to the underside of the disk drive and route the wires thru the ventilation slots. For my printer the dimensions of these feet were a friction fit. Your printer may print to a slightly different size. Using hot glue will help in securing the feet with the option of full reversal of the modification. I've attached 2 different heights for different types of dip switches. One can easily change the height and diameter in the printer driver software if required.
