Commando Cody Rocketships

These two rocket ships made appearances in several black and white Republic Pictures serials that aired during the early 1950's. The serials were Radar Men from the Moon, Zombies of the Stratosphere, and Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe. Identical rockets were used in these serials but often took on different roles. For instance, the rocket seen in Radar Men from the Moon was also utilized as the Martian rocket in Zombies of the Stratosphere. One notable element of these series was the flying rocket pack worn by the hero. The Moon/Mars rocket features a turret and gun that can be printed separately and attached to the model. I've included two images showing the models with paint and decals applied. The color scheme for the Martian rocket is open to interpretation, but I chose red. Enjoy!
