Command Tower Deck Box (MTG)
prusaprinters

Designed to look like the iconic Magic the Gathering card Command Tower, This deck box can hold 100 double sleeved cards in its bottom compartment with extra space for tokens. The upper compartment holds dice and is large enough for other accessories including life trackers. Optionally LED's can be added to the upper compartment for some extra flare.

Note:

These parts have a nominal interlocking clearance of .10mm. This fit is intentionally a little tight. Due to this it is necessary for your printer to be properly calibrated for dimensional accuracy.

LED lighting

If you want to add the LED's to your Command Tower deck box you will need the following.

4x 5mm LED's (I used blue)

1x 2 position slide switch (I used this one but any similar switch will work)

1x AAA double battery holder (again I used this one or any equivalent)

You will also need a soldering iron and a hot glue gun and about .5 meters of 18 to 24 gauge wire.

Assembly

Start by sanding the bottoms of parts 2 and 3 to make sure they are flat then glue them together, do the same with parts 4 and 5.

Wiring

Start by hot gluing the LED's into the 5mm holes in the LED insert, then do the same for the slide switch in its rectangular hole. Next attach the battery holder in the middle of the insert.
Finish by solder the wires together an example is shown below.
