Command Strip Mounting Block for Pegboard
thingiverse
I needed a way to hang a pegboard on my wall with command strips. To achieve this, I created these custom blocks in precise dimensions matching a standard "medium" command strip (2" x 5/8"). The strategically placed holes allow me to drive #8 (USA) wood screws through the pegboard into them without exceeding the block's thickness, ensuring the screws won't protrude from the backside. However, it's essential not to overtighten the screws as this can cause damage. If you want to counter-sink your screws for a flush finish, you'll need a dedicated drill bit since excessive torque may cause the PLA material to splinter rather than sink. Each block is 5/8" thick, providing a comfortable gap between the pegboard and the wall. This spacing accommodates standard hooks without risking damage to the surrounding area. These blocks are carefully designed for installation between rows of pegboard holes, preserving access to all available holes.
