Command Strip Hanging Peg (Parametric)
thingiverse
I designed this hanger peg to hang items on the wall using various 3M Command Strips, which I highly recommend. I have several objects that feature small "keyhole" hanger points intended for slipping over a nail or screw head, but I dislike making holes in my walls, especially when the item is lightweight. So, I created this design to attach to the wall with a Command Strip capable of holding the weight and then hang your item on the peg. You can also use them upside down, as shown in the picture. The standard Poster strips are supposed to be able to hold up 0.5 pounds, which is sufficient for many small items. Need to hang something larger like a drill battery holder? Scale up the base for a bigger Command Strip capable of handling more weight. This STL features an 8mm "head" with a 4mm shaft. The head is 2mm thick and the shaft is 3mm tall. The rectangular base is 2mm thick, 15mm wide, and 28mm long - perfect for the small/poster-sized strips. If you print it, please upload a "made" picture and let me know if you had to modify the sizes for other "keyholes". Print Settings: Printer: Prusa Air 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 75% Notes: I printed this at .2mm and 75% for strength, but layer height doesn't really matter. I used a 5mm brim to ensure it didn't pop off due to its tall design and small base. I printed mine in ABS, but it should work with any rigid plastic.
