I designed my own version of an air assist nozzle for this laser engraver/cutter.

The air pump that I’ve got was a bit of a trade off between power and noise. Therefore I designed the nozzle to minimise air leakage and get the most out of it.
To do so, I decided to create a separate air channel pointing directly at the focus point of the laser, instead of injecting air in the chamber with the risk of losing too much pressure on the cutting/engraving line. The amount of air from the cooling fan through the nozzle seems enough to keep smoke away from the lens clean.
The last picture shows a cut in 3 mm plywood (180mm/min, 100%) one without and one with air-assist.

Print settings

Use supports where necessary and don’t forget to use 100% infill otherwise it will definitely leak air everywhere.
